Set on 52 partially wooded acres along the Wild Rivers ATV Trail, our campground puts you half a mile from Whalen Lake and just a short drive to Namekagon River for tubing runs — with the shops and restaurants of Spooner 10 miles out and Hayward's northwoods charm only 30 miles away.

2026 SEASON
May 1st - October 5th
We are currently accepting reservations for seasonal sites - $2,000 per year. We have sites available for daily rental as well. See rates here. Since we are still under construction, rates will be prorated for the remainder of the 2026 season and have a slight reduction in daily rates. As the first phase of the campground is completed and the amenities continue to be added, prices will be adjusted and are subject to change at anytime.

Our sites are spacious with moderate green space around them to give them a semi-private feel. Each site comes equipped with a firepit and picnic table.
We are just 500 feet from the Wild Rivers ATV trail, 1/2 a mile from the Whalen Lake boat launch, and 3 minutes from tubing, kayaking, and canoeing on the Namekagon River. There's no shortage of ways to fill a day when you stay with us.
When you're ready for a change of scenery, we're a 10 minute drive to downtown Spooner, 20 minutes to Shell Lake, 12 minutes to Minong, 30 minutes to Hayward and Rice Lake, and 60 minutes to Duluth. And when you're not, your firepit and a good chair will take care of the rest. Come explore everything Trailside and its surroundings have to offer.
